    Stepz Fitness
    Your journey to wellness starts here

    Goal To create a desirable brand with the market strength to better support health and wellness in their local communities. From the moment we met Franchisor, Sam Waller, our mission was clear - we needed to recreate a brand to have national market strength and elevate an aged fitness brand to widen its loyal audience appeal, supporting franchisees with a Local Area Marketing guide. We identified an opportunity in the fitness industry to increase revenue by offering not only 24/7 gym access, but introducing functional group training.

    Answer We created an award-winning brand platform that has resulted in significant growth in membership and locations throughout Australia. Through an intensive workshop, research and interview phase, we collaboratively developed a new look and feel for Stepz. We overhauled the Colour Pallet, Logo, Typography, Mission and Core Values. The brand transformation is modern and elevated with complementing colours that have been utilised in all visual touch points inside each location and all collateral.

    We focused on creating an environment where members felt empowered - not intimidated - to jump over any hurdles in the way of improving their health and fitness. For us, it was about improving upon the exisiting business model to better serve their members. We wanted to transform the brand to better represent the transformative journey their members go on each and every day.

    Brand Boot Camp.

    Sending a consistent and controlled message of who we are is essential to presenting a strong, unified image of the Stepz brand. Our team created guidelines that reflect Stepz’ commitment to quality, consistency and style to maintain consistency and provide guidance for the Stepz brand, including the logo, name, colours and identifying elements. Protecting the company’s interests by preventing unauthorised or incorrect use of the Stepz name and marks.

    Creating a Uniformed Look.

    With the transformation of the Stepz Fitness brand, came the opportunity to elevate the uniform and apparel of staff members including Coaches, Club Managers and Head Office personnel. We introduced the new colour pallet, graphic elements and materials inspired by leading activewear brands.

    Ready. Set. Go.

    We introduced an engaging Local Area Marketing with smart, tried-and-tested marketing campaigns for franchisees to activate in their local communities to increase membership and improve retention. The LAM guide was designed to drive brand awareness and support franchisees to run effective local campaigns to generate results with a strong return on investment. Our team set up assets and collateral templates in a digital platform that allowed local personalisation while maintaining brand consistency.

    Digital Future Fit.

    We did more than just apply a fresh coat of paint. With the Stepz website, we enhanced the UI and UX to provide an enjoyable navigation that simply makes sense. From activating trial visits to the clubs, receiving club enquiries to sharing members success stories. Each club now has their own landing page which acts as their very own localised community website. We also created an online hub to house interactive workout videos that every body can experience - anywhere, anytime - making the steps to health and fitness even more accessible.

    Creating a social media content plan and strategy to provide uniformity across all social media channels. As well as supporting all franchisees with individualised templates, guidance and support.

    The Campaigns.

    We support the Stepz franchise network with Head Office-activated seasonal marketing campaigns to drive membership growth, community engagement and brand awareness. Our team work closely with the Franchisor on campaign activation ideas right through to execution. Franchisees are supported with a number of campaign assets to activate locally, including posters, DL flyers, social media assets, photography and videography.

    Ideas have been crucial in supporting our Franchise and evolving the Stepz Fitness brand. Scott and the Ideas team are highly skilled and have completely evolved our brand from strategy right through to creative execution. They produced a new world class fitness brand that I am so proud of. Since the rebrand we have grown our franchise network from 9 clubs to 18 in just 2 years.
